BARRICANE CHAIR by Magnus Long for Morgan

Our first collaboration with designer Magnus Long brings sculptural design to our dining chair collection. With a construction that explores the technicality of woodwork and tradition of caning, Barricane combines craft and technical excellence to create a piece that embraces comfort and ergonomics through beautiful and tactile, nature-inspired design. Available as both a side chair and an armchair, the collection features a sculpted upholstered seat pad that enhances comfort and versatility. 

The name Barricane pays homage to the secluded cove in Devon, where sunsets are elegantly framed by rugged cliff sides.  

Magnus Long is a London-based designer whose work is characterised by its distinctive identity and character, produced by his exploration of structure and engineering. He founded his London-based studio in 2012 and works with several esteemed furniture and lighting brands. Magnus won the inaugural Jonathan Hindle Prize for Excellence in Design in 2015.
