Pero by Matthew Hilton

Pero is a range of solid oak storage and desking designed by Matthew Hilton for Ercol. All pieces share the same symmetrical construction, the key detail of which is the central rail which supports all shelves and desk tops. Legs and shelf support frames are fixed either side of this structural beam, whose rounded bottom edge profile and visible end grain give the range its distinctive character. Legs and shelves taper outwards from the centre, creating a lightness and elegance typical of Matthew Hilton products. The desk also features a neatly concealed tapering drawer and cable tray. Pero is designed with efficient production in mind, with CNC machining used throughout to minimise waste and reduce production time. All pieces are designed to be disassembled for compact shipping and assembly on site.
