Svelto Round Stacking Stool by Lisa Sandall

The stool had to work with the features of an existing collection and be stackable. Using just three component parts, the smooth flowing joints of the stool are machined, assembled and machined again. A white tint is added to the sealer to retain the look of unfinished oak, delaying the effects of timber mellowing. Design for manufacturing techniques were deployed to ensure the best use of materials and labour, producing a strong, durable and long lasting piece of furniture.
