Zones – Curve Chair by Pearson Lloyd

The Zones Side Chair forms part of a collection of office furniture designed by PearsonLloyd for the Canadian workplace furniture brand Teknion. The collection focuses on informal collaborative spaces and its design is led by the desire to combine the performance qualities of contemporary engineering with traditional furniture making. The components of the chair mix injection mould plastic, dye cast aluminium and laminated beech, to combine softness and reliability. In particular, the laminated beech legs re-introduce a technology to the contract market that has been in use in furniture for over a century, while its formed plastic back provides comfort for the user and the ability to lift the chair easily around the room.
