There was a time, not so long ago, that the thought of a purely online trade exhibition would have seemed like something from the pages of a science fiction novel.
Even more so when the exhibition in question services a sector as tactile as furnishings. Whether the product is destined for the domestic or commercial markets, it seems a given that the buyer needs to sit on the chairs, lie on the beds and get a sense of a collection from up close interaction.
That being said, the transition from reality to the digital sphere has been slowly happening since the advent of the internet age and the growing prevalence of social media, with more and more exhibitions providing ancillary digital services to complement the visitor’s overall experience.
We are all having to adapt to this new world and do so quickly to not be left behind and trade shows are no exceptions. All across the world, countries are experimenting with virtual editions and next month the UK will be host to three that you may find of interest.
